Family, friends and colleagues -
For the past several years, I have been an American Heart Association volunteer. My father died of heart disease in 1983, so I know the personal impact of this disease firsthand. My passion is for prevention - the really great news is ~80% of heart disease and strokes are PREVENTABLE! But, we have to inform and educate the public, knowledge is power and in this case, the power to save a life.
Heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the United States today. We can change this, perhaps not today or tomorrow, but certainly in time for my granddaughter and her contemporaries to be well-informed of their risk factors and take the necessary actions to reduce or even eliminate the chance of heart disease.
Please join me in this campaign - tell me why you "go RED".
I go RED for my granddaughter, Lucy Claire.
Thank you for your thoughtful and generous contribution to this important health initiative.
Most sincerely,
Tammy
